Great hotel set in beautiful grounds. Beautiful building with so much character. Stayed there for one night while hiking in the area and had the best evening meal and nights sleep I'd had for a long time. Dan and Beth were so friendly and welcoming. Great breakfast portions. Will definitely need back soon!
Myself and my work colleague have been staying at this hotel for over 4weeks. Dan and his team have been exceptional, the food is great value for money, they do not serve small portions and you will not go away feeling hungry They really are a great family run hotel and deserve all the plaudits they get. I will return to this hotel whether through business or pleasure Thanks Dan and the team
Beautiful views of Cumbrian countryside, very peaceful location yet only 5 minutes drive from historic Cockermouth with its range of independent shops. Delicious cooked breakfast with good quality local produce
A most excellent hotel, I should say bad because it maybe full next time I book, so I have to say something bad. But it's a great stop off on way to Scotland. Plenty of parking ,staff very friendly, food great and plenty of seats in the was our fourth visit. So I says something about it.
